Islamic University of Technology (IUT) is an international university in Bangladesh, located at Board Bazar, Gazipur, about 30 kilometers north of Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It established in 1978.It is one of the leading and prestigious engineering research institutions in Bangladesh. The university is directly run and funded by OIC. IUT offers degrees in engineering disciplines in undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The main objective of IUT is to contribute to developing the human resources of the member states of the OIC in the fields of engineering, technology and technical education. The university started offering long regular courses from December 1986 and completed 32 academic years in 2018. The thirty-second convocation was held at the IUT auditorium on 8 November 2018.

There are six departments under two faculties and Undergraduate and Postgraduate programes are offered by them. The faculties are Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science & Technical Education.

Admission Requirements
To attend IUT admission you have same minimum qualification. With out minimum qualification you can not apply for admission.
Interested candidates must be obtain SSC & HSC exam GPA 4.50 in both exam. 2019 & 2020 passing year HSc students can apply for admission.
O Level: Physics , Chemistry,Math with minimum grade B and in English with minimum grade C.
A Level: Physics , Chemistry,Math with minimum grade B

How to Apply Online for Admission
Step 1: Completion of the application using TeleTalk SMS

Send SMS from any prepaid TeleTalk mobile to 16222.
Below, We have given the different board’s short code
DHA= Dhaka Board
CHI= Chittagong Board
COM= Comilla Board
BAR= Barisal Board
JES= Jessore Board
SYL= Sylhet Board
RAJ= Rajshahi Board
DIN= Dinajpur Board

Example SMS: IUT DHA 123456 2019 DHA 234567 2016
*** If the SMS is sent with correct information, the applicant will receive an SMS with his/her name, admission fees and a PIN to get the applicant’s approval.
*** The approval from the applicant has to be sent by another SMS from a Teletalk mobile to 16222 with sufficient balance. The content of the SMS shall contain the followings with a space between each pair of words:
IUT<SPACE> YES<SPACE> PIN (received from TeleTalk in the previous SMS) <SPACE> Personal mobile number of the applicant (any operator).
This mobile number will be used for further communication for IUT admission.
Example SMS: IUT YES 87654321 01XXXXXXXXX
***Note that the above approval SMS with the word YES will deduct an amount of 1200 BDT from TeleTalk mobile as the admission application fees. An application will not be valid until the approval SMS is sent successfully which is indicated by the deduction of the above amount.
Applicants of O/A level require collecting a code from the IUT by completing a preregistration on the IUT admission webpage (admission.iutoic-dhaka.edu). Then the applicant has to send an SMS from a Teletalk prepaid mobile to 16222 containing the following words with a space between each pair of words
Write- IUT<SPACE> GSE<SPACE> Applicant’s Code (Collected from IUT website) <SPACE> Year
Example SMS: IUT GSE 367895 2020
[In this example 123456 is the code collected from IUT website and 2020 is the A level passing year.]
IUT Admission Result 2020-21
IUT admission result 2019-20 will be published within 5 days after admission test. You can check your IUT admission result via internet. Follow the below step to download result

- You can find the result in our website also.
- If there is no internet service you can also SMS for result.
- Firstly you have to go to the mobile phone’s message option.
- Then type IUT <space> Unit name <space> RESULT and send to 16321.
- You will get a return SMS and found the result
