Eligibility to take BCS exam

- 4 years honors pass after high school pass.
- Masters will be required for 3 year pass course applicants.
- There can be no more than one 3rd class in education life.
- The candidate must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
- Any citizen of Bangladesh irrespective of gender can participate in BCS exam.
BCS exam steps
The BCS exam is the toughest exam held across the country to recruit staff for 26 posts, up from 26 earlier, but in 2016 the economic cadre was merged with the administration cadre. So now the number of cadres is 26. A BCS cadre has to go through three steps of the exam.
- 1st Step (MCQ)
- 2 Step (Written)
- 3 Step (Viva)
It takes about 1.5 to 2 years to get the final result from the date of publication of the BCS exam notification. On an average, 150,000 to 225,000 candidates apply every year.
*1st Step (MCQ):
The first MCQ of BCS will be held in the system. The initial stage MCQ examination is usually held in May or June every year. The notification is published one month before the test and the results are published after one and a half months.
* 2nd step (written)
The second stage of BCS will be held in written form. The initial stage written test is usually held in October / November / December every year. The notification was published one month before the test and the results were published after 2/3 months.
* 3rd Step (Viva)
The third step of BCS will be Viva. The viva test is held after the results of the written test are published. The final results of the viva test are published after one and a half to two months.

2nd SMS:
